Jordi Capdet was born on December 5, 1959, in Barcelona, Spain. There, he was pursuing an education in music theory and classical guitar. However, in 1982, after seeing members of his close family succumbing to a variety of degenerative disorders, inadequately treated by western medicine, he began to develop an interest in alternative medicine.
Thus, in 1982, he decided to move to San Diego, California, to first join Mueller College of Holistic Studies, where he received his Holistic Health Practitioner degree in 1985. Right after that, he began his Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, graduating in April 12, 1998. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Acupuncture Orthopedics from Lerner Education Institute.
Throughout this same time period, Jordi showed an interest in exercise; weight training in particular. He realized the unquestionable value of muscle strengthening and its important role in health. Thus, for the last twenty-six years, he has been studying and experimenting with weight training, as well as other health promoting art forms such as Tai Chi and Qi Gong. He is also undergoing training at the Chinese Martial Arts Institute, where he is studying Green Dragon kung fu, under the supervision of Si Fu Dwait Love, a remarkable man and teacher.
As the result of these life experiences, Jordi has developed a unique and effective way to achieve the ultimate state of health. He acknowledges that there is no “magic bullet” to health, no “secret fountain of youth” or “Holy Grail.” Optimal health is achieved through the regular daily practice of basic principles which synergistically build the basis of human health. He calls these basic principles “the Four Pillars of Health”: Nutrition, Supplementation, Exercise, and Meditation.
Today, Jordi continues to strive in his quest for knowledge by studying under the supervision of some of the best teachers in the field of Oriental Medicine.
